Dude, holy crap. It’s still the 28th where I am…
Woah.
Definitely worth listening to, and Freddie never did finish the fortune teller story.
this was amazing, expand more on the head display iphone thing, also because there is multiple screens what does Logan think of the possbibility of a mechanical autostereoscopic display with that?
Yes i enjoy listening to these podcasts next time don’t end it just let it keep on recording its fun listening to some random stuff while doing homework or studying.
It was great, although I strongly disagree with Logans (or whoevers) comments about Lower-class families and their struggles.
Logan has that effect on people, I’ve found.
I say: worth it. I love everything about the podcasts, and this bonus one too.
This one was good, Logan’s deep voice into the mike was great but Freddie needs to finish his story next time.
I think you guys should have a somewhat loose “itinerary” where you talk about hot topics that involve the following, not in any particular order:
1. Movies. You can talk about what’s out right now, or if no one’s seen anything, determine a specific movie genre to discuss. 80′s action movies, classic horror movies, the never ending spewing of remakes.
2. Music. I’d love to know what bands/artists you guys listen to. I’m also interested in whether or not you guys like today’s music, or if you’re like many people of our generation that find comfort in old music. Be it classic 70′s rock, 80′s hair metal, grunge, etc…
3. Videogames. No brainer here. Probably the funniest thing you guys talked about involving videogames was Logan’s thoughts on the time it takes in a v.g for it to get good is different than a movie, and he said “Yeah, but I’m still gonna die when I’m 70″ lol.
4. Considering you’ve made your fame from youtube videos (or at least, that’s how I know of you), I’d love to know what other pages you guys like (aside from the ones already mentioned). As well as which internet memes you guys like. Star Wars kid, Tron guy, Numa numa, etc… Or how about the newer memes like Demotivational Posters, Rage Guy (FFFFUUUUUU), and CSI Miami sunglasses jokes.
yeah this podcast was on fire for sure! Lots of laughs.
Holy shit!! I don’t know who the fuck Steve is (the post above me) but you should listen to him he has lots to say.
awesome pod cast, i think monks are bad ass as of toughness
Logan always sounds like he’s on the verge of laughing in every podcast haha
Freddie, you need to finish the fortune teller story!
That fucking plane rule is stupid I got yelled by an attendant because my ipod was not turned off. here are some suggestions to talk about: Living on other planets in our own solar system, How high must one man jump to give another man bacon, and what actor/actress you would throw a brick at lol
I was interested in hearing Freddie’s story, but was completely disappointed when the podcast ended with asparagus. Other than that, funny stuff as always.
Will finish the fortune teller story at the beginning of the next one
Yea, that was pretty amazing. It was actually incredible entertaining. Good job on the drunk ramblings!
Totally worth the listen! I’d love to hear how the fortune teller story ended and would love to hear another “Logan’s recollection of the Bible” type segment.
Logan, when you explain things if your hopefully reading it… you enlighten me.
I have a request, from now on when you explain something just because Freddie commented on you doing it….. flip your hair, turn your shoulders and quickly snap your neck so your eyes meet his and explain it in the lowest tone possible out of spite.
And yes, this was hilarious and well done and good topics.
Logan is the best thing about this podcast. Whether right or wrong, always hilarious.
Bonus podcast was pretty awesome, hey could you guys tell us what equipment you’re using to record the podcasts?
talking about genetic algorithms, awesome. Get me in on that shit.
Last time I flew I was sitting next to an older man listening to my mp3 player and he asked me to check with a stewardess about turning it off. I didn’t.
The threat from electronics on airlines is interrupting communications during take off. Slight chance from mobile phones and WiFi devices, but zero from stuff like mp3 players, e-readers etc…
It’s seriously retarded, airport security is next these days, if electronics where such a threat they wouldn’t let you take them on the plane and terrorists would be sneaking radios onto planes.
As far as learning programs this is a good one online that learns from it’s mistakes. you can also vote each design up or down. It’s pretty cool to leave it running and seeing what it comes up with after awhile. You can also make your own car in a way.
Keep up the good podcasts.
ahh I forgot to actually give the link for it. just try googleing BoxCar2D. It’s a fantastic program though. Seems like now they are adding a system to make each part have a strength limitation too.
This was actually better. logan and freddy both got real for awhile when they talked about their fathers. less explaining what stuff is for ‘people who don’t know’. Once you guys got looser with alcohol, the conversations get funnier.
oh, but wake brandon up next time.
oh also you guys should answer emails. nothing like answering emails on air.
like Craig Ferguson bro! that would be boss.
dude i’m 5’7 and i’m only 14!!!
i really wish you guy would post links to all (or some if all is asking too much) the cool news stories you talk about. and can i be the first to ask if you guys are gonna get this podcast on the Zune marketplace
You can add the Podcast to the Zune software manually via RSS.
hey, even if you don’t get structured and just end up getting drunk every week, its still hilarious to listen to you guys…
BTW, freddie seems like the level headed one, is that true? or is he secretly some sober party monk?
Freddie is from China?
Podcast was frickin’ awesome. It had a great mixture of hilarious conversation, stories, and interesting topics. Keep up the good work guys… This is one of the things that I really look forward to every week.
Loved the podcast. About the airplane rules, I got scared off from using electronics during take-off because of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjQK7iUQ3B8#t=1m00s
Relevant part is around 1:00.

sorry for the triple post. I effed up at the captcha part.
Logans a fucking beast/badass. Listen to everything he says but we need more men like this hoss.
The whole point of the “turn off all electronics” rule isn’t really for ground air communications. The reason is a bit more serious: It’s to keep the electronics from interfering with the planes equipment such as the altimeter. With that said, certain things like an old school iPod or Kindle with the WiFi turned off produce very little EM radiation. They are just using the battery and not producing a great amount of electrical noise.
Certain devices with wireless communications turned on will emit more EM radiation (ie, WiFi Bluetooth, etc.). There more reason for concern with these devices because they produce a greater amount of noise. This is the reason why certain non-cell phone devices like The iPod Touch have an “airplane mode.” It simply disables the wireless communications to limit interference.
The big hitter on this argument is cellphones. Cellphones use a great amount of energy to communicate to cell towers miles away. To put this in contrast: a normal WiFi access point has a single of a few dozen feet. It has been proven that a cellphone can indeed interfere with plane equipment.
Despite the proven interference of cellphones, planes aren’t likely to be falling out of the sky because of people using their phones. This is because the planes components and connections are heavily shielded. In addition, there are normally backup systems if one goes haywire.
So why does the rule exist? The rule is mainly for cellphones because they can cause interference if the plane isn’t properly shielded. However, with electronics merging other components into their designs, it’s becoming hard to classify what is okay. Our music devices are now phones. Our books now have 3G and WiFi. Our computers can do everything. Our fillings communicate to space (…well, not YET). With all the new devices and uncertainty as to what’s okay, they decided to make a blanket rule of “No Electronics.” While it’s very unlikely that any device will interfere with a real world plane, they have taken the stance of “better safe than sorry.”
I think it’s silly that we have to turn off everything. If it’s a short 30 minute flight, I’ll grab a book or draw (do they still allow pens or pencils?). It’s not that big of a deal on shorter flights. Now what’s really DUMB is the body scanners they have implemented. Every time you want to fly somewhere, somebody has to see you naked or feel you up. George Carlin must be face palming in his grave. That’s all I’m going to say about the scanners because I don’t want to wright an essay on how bad of an idea they are right now.
I want to hear your thoughts on Splinter Cell and the trailer for Dead Island.
I like asparagus, and you guys are on fire!
