Love the heart shaped bokeh effect, is that a special lens or “post work”?
you can use any lens you want. it’s just a plate or something in front of the lens with a hole of a heart pattern or whatever
they had a cool effect like this in Scott Pilgrim (that bus scene, i think it’s on yahoo movies)

Awesome effect. It’d be cool if you experimented with animating the plate, using multiple plates and flaring the sensor, but you’re essentially creating a false aperture as I understand it. I used a long cylinder in front of the lens once to create a practical vignette. We would close it and open it to create really cool filmic fades.
